Experienced Clinician Scientist Charles V. Pollack, MD
Charles V. Pollack, MD, began working as a research and clinical trial consultant with multiple pharmaceutical companies in the Philadelphia region 2000. He also works with innovators in the biotechnology industry. In this capacity, he has taken a lead or supporting role in numerous drug and device development programs. In 2019, Charles V. Pollack, MD, expanded his professional activities by joining the University of Mississippi Medical Center as a clinician-scientist and member of the Department of Emergency Medicine adjunct faculty. Charles Pollack, MD, earned his medical degree from Tulane University in 1984.
He was a member of the school’s chapter of the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He subsequently completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Mississippi (including time as the chief resident), followed by a surgical internship with the United States Naval Hospital. He has engaged with many professional organizations during his career, including the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the European Society of Cardiology. His interests outside of medicine include hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
